*How to qualify for our Cash Bonus Offer
Eligibility: You must use the Cash Bonus Offer Code you received when opening a new ECU Credit Union Preferred Checking account. You or any owner(s) on your new ECU Preferred Checking cannot have an existing checking account, have had an ECU Credit Union Preferred Checking account in the last 12 months or received other ECU Credit Union Preferred Checking account offers within the past 12 months. Membership is required - $25 minimum Savings account. Must be in our field of membership eligibility and are subject to approval.
*Bonus / Account Information: Offer is not available to accounts that have been closed with a negative balance within the last two years. You can only receive one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last enrollment date and only one bonus per account.
**Preferred Checking bonus: Open a new Preferred Checking account with a minimum of $100 deposit. Additionally, you need to enroll in Online Banking with eStatements within 90 days. We do have a mobile app (ECU Credit Union Mobile) to easily access your account on the go. You must complete 10 Debit transactions within 90 days of opening the Preferred Checking account. You must complete two or more electronic deposits within 30 days of opening the Preferred Checking account. Electronic deposits totaling between $2.000.00 and $4,999.99 within 90 days to earn $250 Cash Bonus, and electronic deposits totaling $5,000 or more to earn $350 cash bonus. Our Preferred Checking benefits have a small service charge of $6 monthly, which is waived for first 90 days.
***A Direct Deposit is an electronic deposit of funds such as salary, government benefit payment, or other income, that has been posted to your account and is a Direct Deposit made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. Instant payments processed though the RPT® network (real-time payment system) or FedNowsm Service, or an electronic credit from a third-party service that facilitates payments to your debit card using the VISA® or Mastercard® network, transfers from one account to another, mobile deposits, Zelle®, or deposits made at a branch or ATM are not considered a qualifying electronic deposit. An ACH Direct Deposit made available with Early Pay does not count toward the bonus requirements until it posts to your account and is no longer pending (e.g. scheduled payment date).
After the 90-day qualification period, if you have met all requirements, we will deposit the bonus into your new account within 30 calendar days. Your account must be open and in good standing to receive the Cash Bonus. We may close accounts with zero balance without prior notice.
